Cheek to Cheek is an unmitigated success in showcasing a couple meeting and falling in love. Paige Bennett has written one of the most pleasing erotic romances that I have read in a while. While the story is short, the main characters and story are so engaging and well-developed that the only thing you will complain about is the length- the story leaves you wanting more from these two. Communication, or the lack there of, is the main conflict between the two lovers. This is not an original plot but what makes this story so absorbing is the witty and charming way that their friends help the couple work their way towards each other. Cheek to Cheek is a perfectly lovely and gratifying read that will leave you in a much better mood after you finish reading the novella.

The conflict of the story deals with some intentional as well as unintentional misuderstandings. While that’s not an unusual trope in a storyline it’s the misunderstandings between them and the way they work it out that made for an endearing story.
These two characters were sweet and even though the story was short they were very well developed. It was fun to see the immediate attraction between the characters and how his friend Stan explained some facts about women to him. The story kept my attention and I found myself smiling, and wishing that it was just a little bit longer.
Cheek to Cheek is one of those stories that will put you in a good mood, read it and see for yourself, I think you’ll be glad you did.

Honesty really is the best policy and in Jared and Diandra’s case, it would have spared them both lots of pain and confusion. I saw their issue coming but I didn’t think it would snowball into an avalanche. Diandra’s guilt was normal, but I wasn’t expecting anger from Jared. Cheek to Cheek is a simple and sweet story between two people who get a shot at the kind of relationship that knocks your socks off. They deserved to feel passion for someone, not just something, like their job. Watching Jared and Diandra find what they were missing in each other felt comfortable. I liked the image of an average guy like Jared getting the girl. Romance and reality make a great combination that readers won’t be able to resist.
